NCCU Fashion Show
I had the honor of creating my designs for the NCCU Fashion Show in 2021, 2022, and 2023. The preparation process was a journey of creativity and collaboration. Each year, I focused on bringing my designs to life.
The Strength of a Peacock| Spring 2021
The Strength of a Peacock tells the heroic story of a Civil Rights activist, Malcolm X. This collection was meant to give a voice to those no longer here with us. To make this line come to life, the honorable peacock was chosen to embody my collection. I chose fabrics and materials representing a peacock's feathers such as blue, green, and gold. These three colors stand for so much more: growth, knowledge, and optimism. Malcolm X possessed all of these qualities when fighting for equal rights and my goal was to shed light on a man that tried to make a difference during such a pivotal time in history.
For the Love of Aphrodite | Spring 2022
This collection focused on Aphrodite who is the goddess of love, beauty, and passion. My Objective was to curate a collection that honored and uplifted women in a soft and feminine way. When you embrace one’s femininity, self-discovery and self-acceptance can unlock an entirely different level of confidence. This collection was designed to be sexy, chic, and empowering and that’s exactly what my models possessed when wearing said garments.
Woven tapestry Diaries | Spring 2023
This collection was built on wanting to try something new and extremely out of the norm. It started out as a personal project and later turned into a successful line after three years of continuous growth. This collection experienced a fair amount of trial and era, but it turned out to be life-changing and unique in so many different ways.
